ISO 14001 EMS and climate control

As the UN announce that 2016 is set to be the hottest year on record, implementing an ISO 14001 Environmental Management System could not come at a better and more crucial time…

Introducing an environmental management system will show your dedication to cutting the effects of global climate change. Whether you’re a one-person business, SME or a multi-national corporation, everyone can do their bit to change and control the energy they use and it’s impact on the planet. The focus on ISO 14001 EMS is primarily energy usage control, so you can verify your carbon footprint and reduce your greenhouse gas emissions. After implementing ISO 14001, you can confidently report your carbon footprint and create realistic goals for its reduction year-after-year.

ISO 14001 EMS can also improve your credibility as a company, the environment should be a priority, so by showing that you’ve committed to an EMS you can improve your client relationships, strengthen your ties with stakeholders, open up more markets and increase your success with winning tenders.

If that is not enough to convince you, then you should bear in mind the great savings that can be made by implementing Environmental Management Systems. Focusing on controlling your energy usage and amount of waste you produce goes hand-in-hand with costs reducing for the running of your business.

We have been certifying against the ISO 14001 EMS Standard in Shropshire, Birmingham and London this week.

Birmingham Clients – ISO 9001 and ISO 14001

Birmingham ISO 9001 and ISO 14001

We have been extremely busy over the last week with new clients in Birmingham, and across the West Midlands (including Telford and Wolverhampton). In visits to our Birmingham clients, we have been developing stringent ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 systems and manuals. Working with those in the forestry sector, architecture, manufacturing and environmental, gives us a wide variety of experience and widens our knowledge base.

We are able to work with small and larger organisation and tailor our services to fit the needs of your organisation as well as the requirements of the standard. All of our auditors are IRCA qualified and have a wealth of experience. We were one of the very first UK based Certification Bodies to achieve the 17021:2011 accreditation, other bodies were, or still are, accredited to the old 2006 version. Therefore, certification with Interface NRM ensure that your certificate is recognised to the very latest standards.

Shropshire Star Press Release

We got a nice press release in the Shropshire Star on Feb 19th, as the only Shropshire-based UKAS accredited certification body:

“A Telford based business has become the first in Shropshire to assess other companies for key management accreditations.

Interface NRM, based at the e-Innovation centre in Priorslee, is the only certification body in Shropshire which ios recognised by industry monitors UKAS. Now it has won the right to assess companies for ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems) certificates.

Managing Director Gavin Jordan said “UKAS accreditation will enable us to provide our clients with the very highest level of ISO certification available, coupled with an effective, efficient and supportive service. “As one of the very few UKAS accredited certification bodies in the West Midlands, Interface will also be very competitive on pricing.”
